Is it your brain that needs to wake up? Iron!!!
Mino clutched his head, displaying a pained expression reminiscent of the cat meme.
“I have made preparations. To this end, I have secretly found a fragmented scroll to summon allies.”
……
Mino took a deep breath, but the image of "another self" in her mind began to linger.
To be honest, he couldn't even remember what happened or who the other person was when he wrote the diary.
But you can feel that arrogant and domineering chuunibyou figure is chasing after you in a ditch!
"Don't come any closer!!!" Mino wailed in a muffled voice.
Migo burst out laughing.
To be able to defeat Mino to this extent, that's about enough... Migo put on a bright smile, preparing to interrogate Mino for information.
The torture couldn't stop, of course, while the familiar's voice continued to emanate from the other side:
Date: September 28th, Kur calendar 53. Weather: Cloudy.
“Through the scroll leading to another world, I have finally summoned my soul's ally.”
"Although it looks like just a little dog with sheep-like horns, I recognize it... This is a familiar that harbors destructive power within it, just like me, possessing the power to overturn this world!"
"It has a light in its eyes similar to mine, and an ordinary name is not worthy of it... It is destined to be an extraordinary being."
"On this day, the entire kingdom will remember the birth of this name:"
"—Saint Beast Terminator!"
"Ha! It really likes this name!"
Migo's smile froze on her face.
With a thud, as if she had been stepped on a cat's tail, her face suddenly turned bright red, and she abruptly looked around.
In my mind, some of the vague memories from my childhood suddenly seemed to come alive, while others became incredibly clear, sketching out a familiar yet shameful image in my heart.
"Eh……?"
A chill ran down Migo's spine, her face flushed. What was going on... what was going on... had she caught Mino's infection?
Date: September 3, 53rd year of Kur calendar. Weather: Sunny.
"The Saint Beast Terminator bared its sharp fangs for the first time, and after a fierce three-hour battle, it successfully defeated the evil insect beast lurking in the shadows of the kitchen!"
"On this day, the entire nation's G-rank monsters will be shrouded in deep fear—"
The Lolita girl quickly crouched down, covering her face with her hands, and a strange, mournful cry escaped from between her fingers: "No, no, don't—!!!"
Date: September 5th, Kur calendar 53. Weather: Cloudy.
"Today is a good opportunity to eliminate the evil henchmen in the dark alleys. Ha, those little rats hiding in the gutter, still trying to put up a stubborn resistance—"
"Unfortunately, they are facing the Holy Beast Terminator!"
The fully automated familiar read out sentences one after another at a leisurely pace.
"...Saint-Beast Terminator, it..."
"Saint-Beast Terminator..."
"This is... the end of Saint-Monster...??! ...
Snapped!
The familiar was caught off guard and grabbed in the palm of the hand. With a scream, it was instantly annihilated into ashes.
"Huff...huff...huff..." With her chest rising and falling slightly, Migo had her back to Mino and the Holy Sword, her ear tips burning red, and a faint, suspicious blush spreading across her cheeks.
"Haa...haa...haa..." Mino lay on the bed, letting out heavy, panting breaths as if she had survived a disaster.
What happened...? Has the torture finally stopped...? Mino opened her eyes in confusion.
Then the diary in Migo's hand turned into a blur. The girl with pigtails suddenly turned her head and glared at Mino. Her face looked like that of a defeated dog, and her eyes were still filled with tears of shame.
"Mino, don't think... you've won just like that!!!"
With teary eyes, Migo ran away without looking back.
Chapter 21 The Persecution Must Not Stop
"What happened?" Mino scratched his head.
He was completely immersed in shame, like someone listening to the Great Compassion Mantra but not understanding its contents, so he didn't notice what happened next.
“Am I the one being tortured? Why does she look like a victim… Altottai, did you notice something just now?”
Mino turned her head in confusion and found Altoté leaning against the wall, as if he were making some kind of devout prayer to the goddess.
"By the goddess above! The hero has survived the torture for the first time!!!" Altote said excitedly, almost bursting into tears.
"I no longer have to agonize over whether or not to sacrifice my own family for the future of humanity! Thank you, Goddess, it's all thanks to your protection!"
"Hey, hey..." Mino exclaimed in surprise, "Did you just say something dangerous? You're not planning to secretly kill me one night, are you? I was wondering why I've been seeing you sharpening your sword in the corner lately!"
Surprisingly, I managed to survive the torture.
Mino looked into a certain spot in the void, and her face suddenly froze.
The "[Torture Mission of the Demon "Migo"]" section is now grayed out. The mission was interrupted halfway through the interrogation, causing it to freeze and become uncompleteable.
Oh my god! ! ! !
Mino mentally typed five exclamation marks.
The mission was not completed, which meant that the reward that would allow him to leave the Demon King's Castle directly and teleport home was now a distant dream.
He rushed to the edge of the cell and shouted as if trying to salvage the situation, "Hey! Hey, you sheep demon? Shall we try again? I'll confess! I really will!"
no respond.
Mino looked ashen-faced and slumped to the ground, only two words flashing through her mind.
Spicy Balls—!!!
……
Demon King's Castle, an open space.
Migo squatted on the ground, carefully wiping away the tears that shyly welled up from the corners of her eyes, little by little.
She looked around at the empty surroundings, slowly stood up, and a few seconds later, with a pouty expression on her face, she threw a punch at the air.
"What?! What was that feeling of embarrassment just now?! What kind of Saint Beast Terminator is that?! What kind of monster would have a name like that?!"
Migo fumed angrily for a while, then raised her hands somewhat confusedly and touched the two demonic horns on the top of her head: "Why... do I feel so ashamed when I hear that name... for a moment I even wanted to roll on the ground."
Migo's voice grew softer and softer, and then she slowly closed her eyes. In her soul, a contract magic circle slowly rose and fell.
This contract magic circle is very crude, as if it was drawn crookedly with a twig. Many symbols are no longer recognizable, and most importantly... this magic circle is broken.
"I was discovered by Kleitanna at the border between demons and humans... but my memories before that, well... I don't remember them very clearly. Like human infants, the memories of horned demons from their early years become blurred as they grow up..."
Migo hugged her legs and squatted on the ground in a daze.
Rather than maintaining the noble and aloof image of the Horned Demon race, several questions that had never been considered before surfaced from the depths of their suppressed hearts:
Why am I in that place...? Why is the contract in my mind broken...? If that contract was a familiar contract...?
Dressed in an exquisite and adorable Lolita dress, looking like a princess, Migo at this moment resembled an abandoned child, her mouth dry and crooked, as if she were about to shed pearls...
A bold idea popped into my head: Could it be that the things in Mino's diary...
"Migo?!"
A familiar voice came from behind.
"Gah!" Migo jumped up from the ground.
"K-KK Claytina!!" Migo blushed, her eyes darting around nervously when she saw Claytina suddenly appear.
"What's wrong? Did the interrogation of the hero not go well?" Kleinna approached, touched Migo's ram horns, and asked with some concern.
"N-nothing went wrong!" Migo stammered, "That weakling warrior almost confessed! I just felt sorry for him, so I didn't continue!"
"Next time, next time I'll definitely make him admit defeat!"
Migo's eyes gradually cleared. Yes, she was the powerful and adorable Third Demon, a member of the noble Horned Demon race.
How could I possibly have any entanglement with a mere commoner hero? Hmph!
But... next time, next time we can see what's going on in the hero's mind and really torment this human! Yes, that's it!
Thinking of this, Migo clenched her little fist and punched it hard.
"I didn't expect... even the Horned Demons' abilities are... No wonder Migo looked so down." Kleinna was slightly surprised, then her tone became even gentler, like she was coaxing a child.
"It's alright, Migo has done her best."
In an instant, Migo felt that Kletina's figure overlapped with a blurry shadow.
"Saint Beast Terminator, don't cry, don't cry, it's just a little slime. Watch this holy sword, I'll beat it up for you!" Despite his small stature, he was always surprisingly reliable.
"No...that's not true! Who's feeling down?!"
After a brief moment of distraction, Migo immediately blushed and retorted defiantly, unwilling to admit how superficial the Horned Demon Clan's abilities were.
"It's just... it's just because that hero isn't a normal person! Yes! He's a human hero, a complete idiot whose only thought is saving humanity! Idiot, idiot, idiot! That's why I can't find any useful dirt on him!"
Migo shook itself, transforming back into a fluffy ram-horned monster, hiding its rosy face, and quickly ran away.
"Ah, Migo..."
Klettina watched helplessly as Migo walked away, her long rose-patterned dress trailing on the ground like a little tail, swaying restlessly.
"A hero without inner flaws..." Kleinna completely believed Migo's explanation, a hint of admiration appearing in her eyes.
Whether it was revealing information about Prince Ota or exposing the secrets of the Chief of the Round Tower, did the hero Mino feel no remorse at all? It's as if... he doesn't even realize that the information he revealed will have an impact on the human camp.
Is the brave Mino really that stupid? Obviously not.
There's only one possibility left... Kleinna's expression turned serious.
