Like watching a group of dying people, Kenjiro Nishigaki couldn't fathom that the person he was looking for was watching him from not far away.

"It's almost time," he muttered to himself.

He then changed his SIM card and dialed the number again.

"Ding ding ding."

The phone rang again, and Kensuke Nishioka answered it immediately as if he had heard a lifeline.

"Okay, I can agree to what you said. I'll do it your way. I'll tell you the location of those children, and you can bring the goods over, okay?!"

At this moment, all he wanted to know was who had stolen this batch of goods.

At the very least, we need to know who the enemy is.

"It's a pity, it's too late now." Uesugi Kenichi chuckled lightly, but to Nishioka Kensuke, it sounded like a bolt from the blue.

"Why? Didn't you want to know where these children are? I'll tell you."

"Because I've already found the location of those children, I don't need you to tell me anymore. It's a real shame you missed the best opportunity. Well then, that's fine. I can't wait to see those lovely children."

"Hey Hey hey!"

"Grass!"

Kensuke Nishioka finally lost his temper and slammed his phone to the ground. With a bang, the phone shattered into pieces.

"What are you all standing there for? Gather everyone in the courtyard right now! I swear, whoever it is, I'll kill them! How dare they play tricks on me like this! This isn't over!"

Kensuke Nishioka slapped one of his underlings to the ground, his eyes blazing with fury that seemed almost tangible.

"The fish have taken the bait." Uesugi smiled as he watched Kensuke Nishioka leave with everyone, but his eyes were filled with a chilling coldness.

……

Tokyo, Bunkyo-ku, Hakusan-cho.

Early in the morning, four cars sped along the street, eventually stopping in front of an inconspicuous Japanese garden.

Two men in black suits stood guard at the entrance, their faces full of vigilance.

"Nothing went wrong, everything is normal."

"Okay, thank you for your hard work." Kensuke Nishioka nodded and led everyone inside.

Chapter 157 Want to touch it?

"You guys rest for a bit, I'll go in and take a look. Be careful, don't fall asleep."

"Yes!"

The group of underlings breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. After a whole night of commotion and witnessing such a scene, they were truly exhausted, both physically and mentally.

Returning to my home base, I immediately felt relaxed and felt like I could fall asleep standing up.

After seeing that his underlings had gone to rest, Kensuke Nishioka, though also exhausted, still mustered his energy and asked a madam in her forties in the room, "Take me to see those children."

He can't feel at ease without looking at him.

The madam nodded to Kensuke Nishioka and led him toward the small door behind her.

The door opened, and we walked into a room inside. It was as if a group of mice had been startled, as a rustling sound arose. Pairs of empty, numb eyes glanced at the doorway before looking back.

Kensuke Nishioka stood at the door and glanced inside, seeing that all the children had been put down.

"Keep a close eye on them. If anything happens to them, they'll all die together."

"Don't worry, they can't run away from me." The madam's face wrinkled as she looked at the children with a sinister gaze.

"Also, don't send the dead to the warehouse anymore. It's been exposed. I'm going out to make a phone call."

After leaving the house, Kensuke Nishioka took a deep breath and dialed a number.

"Boss Pingchuan, I have another matter to report to you."

"Speak," a somewhat hoarse voice came from the other end of the phone.

"All the goods in our warehouse have been stolen..."

Silence, a long silence, and Kensuke Nishioka's hand holding the phone trembled slightly.

"Do you know who did it?" Hirakawa's voice became even lower.

"It's not clear yet, but it seems the person who took this shipment wanted the children in our hands."

"And that person also said they've found the child's location, and I'm here now."

"I understand. I'll send a group of people over later, and I'll come over in person later. If this shipment can't be found, you should commit suicide to atone for your sins." Hirakawa's words seemed to be a discussion with Nishioka Kensuke.

"Yes."

After hanging up the phone, Kensuke Nishioka wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. He thought to himself that he had temporarily passed the test. Then, a wave of exhaustion washed over him, and he found a place to fall into a deep sleep.

Uesugi Kenichi gazed at the increasingly bright sky and took a deep breath in the morning sun.

"The smell of the morning sun is simply irresistible."

He sighed, took off his hood, hailed a taxi, went home, lay down on his bed, and fell asleep.

He slept until four o'clock in the afternoon before waking up with a start.

Kenichi Uesugi gently wiped the corner of his eye, where there seemed to be some tear stains.

He had a dream in which Kagura Keiko, with two black holes in her eyes, hugged him and cried out to him incessantly.

She kept calling out to him, "It hurts, it hurts, Onii-san, it hurts so much, why don't you come and save me quickly?"

He also dreamed of countless children wandering around, screaming and crying, unable to shed a single tear.

After getting up, Uesugi Ken washed his face, grabbed two pieces of bread from the refrigerator to fill his stomach, and then picked up the phone to call Saeko Busujima.

“The matter has been investigated and cleared up. I’m at home now, and I plan to take action tonight.” Uesugi Kenichi hesitated for a moment after saying this, “Why don’t you stay at home?”

He felt this operation was potentially quite dangerous; the enemy was most likely armed, and he wasn't entirely confident he could protect Saeko Busujima with him.

In fact, he could have acted more cautiously and confidently. He could have easily tracked Kagura Keiko's location over a long period of time and brought her out without attracting the attention of others.

However, after witnessing what happened last night, he completely gave up on the idea. If he didn't know, he wouldn't have cared, but now that he knew, he felt that even delaying it by just one day would be a crime.

If we had delayed even a day, several more innocent lives might have been lost in the darkness in silence.

"I'm coming right now," Saeko Busujima replied immediately, her eyes narrowing. She then hung up the phone before Kenichi Uesugi could refuse.

She called Eriri and asked her to come and pick up Mashiro. Then she changed her clothes, tied her hair into a high ponytail, went to the side room of the house, knelt on the ground, and bowed three times to the long sword enshrined in the center.

He then stepped forward, picked up the long knife, and wrapped it in black cloth.

"Mashiro, you'll stay at Eriri's place tonight."

After Eriri arrived, Saeko Busujima gently stroked Mashiro's hair and said softly.

"No, I want to go home. I miss Kenichi." Mashiro opened her mouth slightly, trying to express her dissatisfaction, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make a dissatisfied expression.

"...Listen to me, you can go back in the next couple of days. Kenichi is busy with some things right now, and you don't want to bother him, Mashiro, right?"

After pondering for a moment with some effort, Masashi was somewhat discouraged. He then nodded slightly, still looking quite unhappy, "Then it's settled."

"Don't worry." Saeko Busujima replied with a smile, then looked at Eriri, "Then I'll leave Mashiro in your care."

"Don't worry, we won't lose her. By the way, Ken... what has Uesugi been so busy with these past few days? He hasn't even had time to take care of Mashiro."

"He's busy with something very important. He'll tell you if he wants to."

"Tch, all mysterious, I don't want to know anyway." Eriri snorted and pulled Mashiro away.

Saeko Busujima shook her head and smiled as she watched Eriri and the others leave. Then, she put away her smile, took out the long sword she had prepared, locked the door, and hurried toward the Uesugi family.

After Uesugi Kenichi ate, took a shower, and changed his clothes, Saeko Busujima arrived shortly after.

When he first saw Saeko Busujima, his eyes showed a hint of amazement. Her high-tied purple ponytail and black bodysuit perfectly outlined her breathtaking figure.

She exuded a heroic and dashing aura, like a field of poppies in full bloom, both incredibly beautiful and carrying a poison that could seep into one's very bones.

"What's wrong?" Saeko Busujima looked at Kenichi Uesugi, who was staring at her, and glanced around at herself.

"It's nothing, this outfit suits you very well, it's beautiful," Uesugi Kenichi sincerely praised.

"Really? I'm glad you like it." Saeko Busujima wasn't embarrassed by her kindness; instead, she straightened her back slightly, appearing poised and confident, allowing Kenichi Uesugi to observe her more closely.

"Want to touch it?"

"Cough cough..."

The girl's posture caused Uesugi Kenichi to cough slightly and look away.

Chapter 158 Hedao Yiwen

Saeko Busujima looked away from Kenichi Uesugi with a hint of regret in her eyes.

"Alright, let's get down to business. I've found where Kagura Keiko might be. She's in a garden in Hakusan Town."

Saeko Busujima nodded and asked, "When do we make our move?"

As she spoke, she placed the long sword wrapped in black cloth behind her back across her lap, her eyes revealing a chill.

Kenichi Uesugi's gaze fell on the long sword that Saeko Busujima had placed horizontally on her knee.

Noticing his gaze, Saeko Busujima removed the black cloth, revealing a long sword wrapped in a black scabbard before Kenichi Uesugi.

“This has been passed down in my family.” Saeko Busujima placed the knife horizontally across her hands.

Uesugi Kenichi took it with both hands and with a 'whoosh', drew the sword, a chilling aura emanating from its blade.

“Wado Ichimonji,” Uesugi Kenichi murmured the name of the sword as he carefully examined it. The blade was spotless white, with a shimmering light flowing across it. The sword was very well maintained, and he could smell the blood emanating from it.

The lingering smell of blood, which could not be completely removed no matter how much washing was done.

After watching for a while, Uesugi Kenichi returned the sword to Busujima Saeko and asked curiously, "I heard that Murasame automatically washes off the blood when it gets stained with blood. Is that true?"

Saeko Busujima thought for a moment and shook her head. "It is said that this is a cursed sword. Every one of its owners dies a mysterious and violent death. As for whether it can cleanse the blood, I am not sure. Nobody knows where this sword is now. Perhaps it has been lost in the long river of history."

"Then I'd really like to see it for myself."

"We'll go check on things tonight, but I want to do more than just rescue Keiko Kagura."

Kenichi Uesugi stood up, his mind replaying the images from his dream, his fists clenched tightly.

"I'm going to slaughter all of them!"
