Chapter 202 Liberation
Chapter 202 Liberation
Luo Tian stood still, his eyes fixed on Kaido's "Rising Dragon Flame Eight Trigrams". His body leaned back slightly, his feet firmly planted on the ground.
He felt no fear whatsoever, not even the slightest thought of dodging.
He abandoned time-stopping and spatial evasion because he knew that while these methods allowed him to easily avoid Kaido's attacks, they could not truly subdue Kaido.
He wanted to defeat Kaido head-on in the most direct and violent way, so that Kaido would be completely convinced of his superiority.
Luo Tian took a deep breath, and the power of time and space converged like surging waves.
The forces of time and space manifested around him.
Just as Kaido, transformed into a fire dragon, hurtled towards them like a meteor, Luo Tian suddenly took a step forward, his fist slamming straight towards the dragon's head.
This punch contained boundless power of time and space; its speed and strength were extreme, and the entire world trembled in that instant.
When Luo Tian's fist collided with Kaido's fire dragon head, it produced a deafening roar.
The surrounding space seemed to be torn apart, with countless fine cracks appearing, and the space of Wano Country was on the verge of collapse at this moment.
The power of time and space erupted completely in that instant, like a detonated nuclear bomb, instantly annihilating Kaido's fire dragon.
The immense power not only tore through space but also pierced through Kaido's body.
Kaido's body flew backward through the air, and blood gushed out of his wounds like a fountain.
Kaido stared in disbelief at the gruesome wound on his body. He had originally thought that with his Zoan-type Devil Fruit and his own powerful regenerative abilities, the wound would heal quickly.
However, the reality was quite different. The wound showed no signs of healing and continued to bleed, while his life force was rapidly fading away.
"Why? Why did this happen?"
His gaze was fixed on Luo Tian, and he already understood that all of this was caused by Luo Tian's abilities.
Kaido could sense that his wound contained an extremely powerful force.
This power is neither simply the power of space nor simply the power of time, but a completely new power generated by the interweaving and fusion of the two.
This force raged through his wounds, relentlessly eroding his body and rendering his regenerative abilities completely ineffective.
“No one can kill me, not even myself,” Kaido muttered to himself, his voice filled with bitterness and helplessness, “but now, I’m going to die…”
Kaido slowly lowered his head, looking at the shocking wound on his body, feeling his life gradually slipping away.
This was a feeling he had never experienced before; the shadow of death loomed over him, filling him with unprecedented fear and helplessness.
Is this what death feels like?
Kaido asked softly, as if he were asking himself, or as if he were asking the world.
In his final moments, he looked at Luo Tian.
He finally saw the insurmountable gap between him and Luo Tian.
"Boss!!!"
King and the others looked at Kaido with horror, their voices filled with worry and anxiety.
They rushed to Kaido's side to provide emergency treatment in hopes of saving his life.
However, Kaido gently waved his hand, signaling them not to approach.
His face revealed a sense of helplessness and relief, as if he had accepted his fate.
"This may be my fate..." Kaido murmured to himself, his voice low and hoarse. "Death will also put an end to one of my worries."
Just then, Yamato arrived at Kaido's side.
Her eyes revealed complex emotions, including concern for her father and resentment towards his past behavior.
As Kaido lay dying, he slowly turned his head and his gaze fell on Yamato.
His lips moved slightly, as if he wanted to say something.
"Child, I'm sorry..." Kaido's voice was as soft as a whisper, but it echoed in Yamato's ears.
This was the first time he apologized to Yamato, and it was also the last thing he said in his life.
At this moment, Kaido finally realized his love for Yamato.
However, this love was abnormal; it made Yamato feel repressed and pained, ultimately leading to her rebellion.
"As one of the Four Emperors, he reveres strength. In his eyes, only through rigorous training and suppression can a truly powerful successor be cultivated. This 'love' may manifest as an ardent expectation for his child to become stronger, but this method appears extreme and cruel."
Luo Tian slowly walked to Yamato's side and gazed at Kaido, whose life was fading away.
"Hey! Stop being so self-satisfied! I haven't defeated you yet, so you absolutely cannot die now!"
Yamato roared at Kaido, then turned sharply to look at Luo Tian.
"Luo Tian!"
"Okay, okay, I know! Honestly, they're all so bossy, it's so annoying!"
Luo Tian complained helplessly, while raising his hand and casually waving it, instantly erasing all the spatial and temporal power from Kaido's body.
As this powerful force dissipated, Kaido's originally hideous wounds began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Kaido was astonished by the changes in his body. He stared wide-eyed at Luo Tian with disbelief.
"Why... you've already killed me, why save me? After you kill me, you'll become one of the Four Emperors. Isn't that a good thing for you?"
Kaido's voice was filled with doubt and confusion.
"The title of Four Emperors? That title is easily attainable for me. I don't need it, nor do I want it."
"It's just that my crew doesn't want you to die, so you're not dead yet."
Kaido slowly stood up from the ground, his massive body swaying slightly, but he quickly regained his balance.
His wounds had mostly healed, and although some bloodstains remained, they no longer hindered his movement.
Kaido's gaze fell on Luo Tian, and he suddenly burst into maniacal laughter.
"Hahaha, Luo Tian, you're quite an interesting guy!"
Luo Tian ignored Kaido's mockery and merely glanced at him indifferently.
Then, he turned and walked toward his crew, completely ignoring Kaido.
Yamato stood still, watching the interaction between Kaido and Luo Tian.
After Luo Tian left, she walked up to Kaido and said seriously.
“I want to open the country of Wano, but you have already been defeated by Rakuten, so you must leave here.”
Kaido looked at Yamato, remained silent for a moment, and then slowly spoke.
"Don't worry, I will leave."
His voice revealed a sense of helplessness and exhaustion.
After saying that, Kaido waved his hand and turned to leave with his men.
His figure gradually receded into the distance, eventually disappearing from Yamato's sight.
Yamato stared at Kaido's retreating figure, his eyes filled with complex emotions.
She felt both disappointment and pity for Kaido.
Suddenly, as if she had made up her mind, Yamato shouted loudly.
"You wait, I'll defeat you myself sooner or later!"
Kaido heard Yamato's shout, stopped, and turned to look at her.
A smile appeared on his face, a smile of encouragement and recognition for Yamato.
"I'm waiting for you."
Kaido said, then turned to Luo Tian and shouted, "Take good care of my child. If I find out you're not treating her well, I'll fight you to the death, even if I can't beat you."
Luo Tian smiled upon hearing Kaido's words, not taking his threat to heart.
