Chapter 629: Varkas Wants Revenge
Chapter 629: Varkas Wants Revenge
Inside a dark pirate ship drifting near a broken asteroid belt, Varkas "Black Fang" sat on a metal throne with one hand gripping the armrest.
His scarred face looked even more vicious under the dim red lights of the command room.
In front of him, several pirates knelt with their heads lowered.
One of them was trembling while holding a glowing information crystal.
Varkas narrowed his eyes. "Speak."
The pirate swallowed hard. "Boss... we found out who that silver ship was connected to."
Varkas’s fingers tightened. "Good. Tell me."
The pirate quickly said, "That ship belongs to Astral Cosmic Terminal One. More accurately, it was a private ship under Manager Paren’s authority."
The command room became quiet.
Several pirates exchanged nervous glances.
Varkas’s expression darkened. "Cosmic Terminal?"
The pirate nodded quickly. "Yes, Boss. And the woman who piloted it... she seems to be an important inner member of the terminal."
Varkas clicked his tongue. "Damn it."
He had expected some rich traveler or arrogant faction junior.
But a Cosmic Terminal connection was different.
Robbing random merchant ships was one thing.
Touching someone directly connected to an official Cosmic Terminal was another.
Varkas leaned forward. "What about the man?"
The pirate hesitated.
Varkas’s eyes turned cold. "Speak before I rip your tongue out."
The pirate immediately lowered his head. "We don’t know his exact background yet. But we found some new info about that crazy planet."
He raised the information crystal, and a projection appeared.
A wild planet covered in storms, mountains, frozen regions, poisonous clouds, and violent energy appeared in the air.
The pirate continued, "That planet used to be unnamed in most records, but now it has been registered under a new name."
Varkas stared at the projection. "What name?"
The pirate took a breath. "God Gym."
The moment those words came out, Varkas’s face changed. "God Gym?"
The pirate nodded. "Yes. The recently famous faction from the Newbie Tournament."
Another pirate added quickly, "Their disciple, Dahlia Draconia, won the tournament championship. She defeated Kaelvar Ignis from the Ignis Family."
The room became heavier.
Even Varkas fell silent for a moment.
He had heard that name recently.
Everyone had.
A strange force that appeared out of nowhere, raised a monster disciple, humiliated a dragon genius, and then openly announced that it accepted trainees for money.
Varkas slowly leaned back. "So that man is connected to God Gym..."
The pirate nodded. "Most likely. The silver ship visited that planet, and the man was seen with the terminal woman and the God Gym disciple."
Varkas’s expression twisted.
He remembered the humiliation.
That silver ship blasting through his fleet like they were trash.
And now, the man tied to that incident was connected to a rising faction.
For a while, Varkas said nothing.
Then he suddenly grinned coldly. "Fine."
The kneeling pirates stiffened.
Varkas tapped one finger against his throne. "We won’t touch the whole faction yet."
The pirates looked relieved for half a breath.
Then Varkas’s eyes became vicious. "But that man... I want him dead."
The pirate froze. "Boss?"
Varkas waved one hand. "Send some people to that planet."
He pointed at the projection. "Show them the picture of the man that the hacker got. Tell them to kill him alone. Don’t attack the whole faction. Don’t touch the terminal woman."
His grin widened, revealing sharp teeth. "Just bring me his head."
The pirates bowed immediately. "Yes, Boss!"
As they hurried away, Varkas stared at the projection of God Gym’s planet.
His scarred face twisted with hatred. "That man..."
He clenched his fist. "You made me lose face."
His voice became colder. "So I’ll take yours."

That night, Garion sat alone near the temporary God Gym base, staring at the stormy sky with a rare thoughtful expression.
In front of him, several rough sketches were drawn on the ground.
And beside all of them, one messy word had been written several times.
Weapons.
Garion rubbed his chin and frowned. "Weapons, huh..."
Atlas was right.
The Cosmic Universe was not like his old world.
Here, every race had its own body structure, bloodline, energy path, and combat method.
Some used spears, guns, chains, staffs, puppets, or strange weapons Garion hadn’t even seen before.
If God Gym only trained bodies, it would still be strong but boring for some races.
But if it could train bodies and weapons together...
Garion’s eyes slowly brightened. "Maybe I need to pull ideas from somewhere else."
He leaned back and started thinking. Mainly movies, cartoons, and novels.
All the ridiculous things he had watched and read in his old world suddenly flashed through his mind.
Weapon masters swinging swords faster than light.
Training halls where disciples carried heavy blades until their bones cracked.
Even strange cartoon training methods where people dodged flying objects, fought clones, or carried absurd weights until their bodies adapted.
Garion’s grin slowly returned. "Actually... there are a lot of useful ideas."
But soon, his grin faded again.
The problem was not ideas.
The problem was organizing them.
God Gym couldn’t just become a random torture field.
But if he wanted customers to survive and improve properly, he needed systems.
Garion scratched his head. "Damn. This is more complicated than I thought."
At that moment, a soft voice came from behind him. "Still thinking?"
Garion turned around.
Rachel walked over with a gentle smile, carrying a tray of warm food.
Her pink-gold aura made the cold wind around them softer.
Garion sighed. "Yeah. I just don’t know what to do first."
Rachel sat beside him and looked at the messy sketches on the ground. "Weapons?"
Garion nodded. "Atlas said I need more than physical training. He’s right. Not everyone is Rovak."
Rachel smiled softly. "Then take it slow."
Garion looked at her.
Rachel placed the tray in front of him. "You don’t need to finish everything tonight. God Gym has only just started in this universe."
She picked up a piece of roasted meat and handed it to him. "Eat first. Think later."
Garion stared at her for a second.
Then he laughed softly and took the food. "That simple?"
Rachel smiled. "Sometimes simple is best."
Garion took a bite, then looked back at the sketches.
His grin slowly returned. "Fine. I’ll think later."
Rachel nodded. "Good."
Garion chewed for a moment, then muttered, "But weapon training under gravity sounds really good."
Rachel sighed gently. "Garion."
He grinned. "After eating."
Rachel smiled helplessly. "After eating."
