Chapter 681 - 547: You Bewitched Me
Chapter 681 - 547: You Bewitched Me
"Are we going downstairs now?" Shi Wangyue said, "Or do you have something to do?"
"Wait a moment." Ning Youguang got up and walked to the desk, picking up a paper bag placed there. When he brought it to Shi Wangyue, he realized the bag contained two cups of pearl milk cap tea.
Ning Youguang smiled and took a cup of milk tea from the bag to hand to Shi Wangyue, "Here’s your first cup of milk tea of autumn."
The two usually didn’t order milk tea when going out or ordering delivery.
So the first milk tea of the autumn didn’t happen until a month had passed.
"What made you think of buying milk tea?" Shi Wangyue laughed as he broke the seal of the milk tea.
"I didn’t buy it." Ning Youguang said, "It was delivered before my last class this afternoon, gifted by a student."
"Benefiting from Professor Ning’s popularity." Shi Wangyue laughed, taking a sip of the milk tea with a rich milky flavor and moderate sweetness, "The milk tea is good."
"You’re welcome." Ning Youguang chuckled and took a sip of the milk tea, then asked, "How did you get here?"
"Old Nie drove me here." Shi Wangyue slowly chewed the chewy pearls in his mouth, "He dropped me at the school gate, and I asked him to leave. I’ll drive your car back later."
"Then let’s take the stuff downstairs."
Ning Youguang put everything usable at school in the office, and prepared to bring everything else back home.
...
Evening.
After dinner outside, the two returned to "Future Times."
Just as they approached the bottom of the building, Ning Youguang saw a community staff carrying a large bag of fragmented ice blue roses mixed with tulips into the building where they lived.
He said, "It’s nice, someone else in this building likes ice blue roses and tulips."
Shi Wangyue, beside him, smiled without speaking and subtly slowed their steps up the stairs.
When they leisurely reached the top floor.
Ning Youguang immediately noticed the bag of fragmented ice blue roses and tulips at their doorstep, just as he’d seen before.
What else could it be?
"The flowers are from you then?"
"I thought it’s been three months since I last gave you flowers, so I wanted to surprise you." Shi Wangyue replied with a smile.
Ning Youguang was quite surprised.
She pulled him over to the flowers at the door, and as they approached, she noticed a white card with silver floral patterns on top of the flowers.
She picked it up and saw that it read in English: "The mountains have wood, xi qing intentionally, last night stars are you."
Shi Wangyue leaned in to look as well and quickly noticed the childish English handwriting.
With a slight frown, he said dismissively, "The handwriting from the flower shop is quite ugly."
Ning Youguang laughed, "I’m not looking at the handwriting, but at what it means."
The one who complained about the shop’s handwriting said, "The meaning expressed through handwriting is limited. It’s better to look at the person who wrote it."
Ning Youguang’s lips curled into a smile, and she turned, finding herself looking into deep, gentle eyes.
"Look at the person, and you see everything you want to know." he said.
Ning Youguang smiled and wrapped her arms around Shi Wangyue’s shoulders, "Thank you, today’s surprise was beautiful, I’m very happy."
Shi Wangyue wrapped his arms around her, "Give me a kiss, and there’s more surprises."
Ning Youguang obediently leaned in and kissed his face, then tilted her head, smiling softly, "Kissed, now where’s the surprise?"
Shi Wangyue didn’t respond, picked up the flowers at the door, and led her inside the house.
Then, he pulled her into the dressing room and gently pressed Ning Youguang onto the chair in front of the dressing table.
"What are you doing?" Ning Youguang was puzzled by Shi Wangyue’s actions.
Shi Wangyue didn’t answer but opened the small drawer by the dressing table and took out a tassel-type long box.
Once he opened it, Ning Youguang discovered inside a delicate, smooth, bright, and pure natural Jade Hairpin.
"Is this the surprise you mentioned?" Ning Youguang smiled, taking the hairpin from the box.
"Do you like it?" Shi Wangyue walked up behind her, gently took the hairpin she was holding, which was bought as a group purchase deal of 9.9 yuan from 1688, but looked similar to the Jade Hairpin in the box.
"I like it." Ning Youguang looked down, carefully examining the warm and transparent hairpin in her hand, "It’s beautiful."
"My wife’s hair is so precious, it deserves a good hairpin." Shi Wangyue carefully arranged Ning Youguang’s long black hair, then took the hairpin from her hand.
He wrapped her soft black hair around the hairpin, securing it tightly.
The entire process was gentle and meticulous.
After he arranged the Jade Hairpin, Ning Youguang was about to compliment him when she saw the person behind her lean over, "You enchant me."
His voice was low yet tender, seductive as if it had a hook.
"What’s wrong?" Ning Youguang gently adjusted the pin.
She was already beautiful; even with a mere 9.9 yuan wooden stick in her hair, no extra decorations were needed to bring out her mesmerizing charm.
But with the Jade Hairpin replacing it, Shi Wangyue felt her exquisite face matched with the delicate Jade Hairpin, made her skin luminous, as picturesque as a painting.
"If a person is like a rainbow, only when you meet them do you know they exist." He gazed at her tenderly, "My wife is precious and beautiful, like an ethereal fairy."
Ning Youguang was amused by his compliment, "It’s the hairpin you bought that’s beautiful."
She couldn’t help but look at the mirror, admiring the hairpin on her head more and more.
"No." Shi Wangyue slowly shook his head, "It’s mainly because my wife has beauty, making things look expensive."
So, unnecessary accessories are not needed, the natural Jade Hairpin alone brings out her inherent graceful spirit, radiant as jade.
Just sitting in front of the mirror, wearing a simple long dress makes her look dignified and elegant.
"Why is Shi’s mouth so sweet today?" Ning Youguang lightly raised her brow, "The hairpin you gave looks quite expensive too."
"How can mere jade compare to the bright moon?" Shi Wangyue laughed.
Ning Youguang suspected the milk tea she shared with Shi Wangyue today must be extra sweet.
After a burst of laughter, Ning Youguang tilted her head again, further inspecting her hair pinned with the Jade Hairpin through the mirror.
"When did you learn to pin hair?"
Shi Wangyue stood up, "How’s your husband’s skill?"
"Very good." Ning Youguang gently touched her bun.
It was the first time he helped her pin her hair.
"I learned from watching you do your hair in the morning."
"Shi student is really good at learning."
"Thank you."
He wouldn’t tell her that besides watching Professor Ning pin her hair seriously in the morning.
He had immediately watched a hairpin tutorial on B station in the office after getting the hairpin yesterday. 1314
