"I have to say, Drax's approach is absolutely admirable."
Senku Ishigami looked at Drax, who was not fleeing with the crowd but facing Ronan directly in the light screen, and said.
Behind him were crowds fleeing in fear, and in front of him stood a seemingly invincible enemy, a scene that looked like a hero standing up against the foe.
This refers to actions taken to buy time for others to escape.
However, it was somewhat dramatic.
"Ronan the Accuser!"
Drax, upon seeing Ronan, roared with furious fighting spirit.
"Is this the message you sent?"
Ronan looked at the only guy who hadn't run away, but instead faced him directly, roaring at him with such hostility, and asked...
"What did Drax say in the message he sent to Ronan?"
“I feel that it’s definitely more than just the coordinates of an unknown location. I estimate that Drax absolutely cursed Ronan in the message he sent him.”
“Look at Ronan’s expression, he looks a bit angry.”
Kitahara Iori looked at Ronan's expression as he questioned Drax and said through gritted teeth.
"Possibly, and don't forget, Ronan just got humiliated by Thanos."
"I was already fuming with nowhere to vent, and then I received a message from Drax."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk."
"Drax shouldn't be killed by Ronan with a single blow, right?"
Kohei Imamura exclaimed in amazement.
Drax didn't answer Ronan's question directly; instead, he vented his anger.
"You killed my wife!"
"You killed my daughter!"
Ronan squinted at Drax, realizing why the other had messaged him. It turned out he'd killed Drax's family—something Ronan had seen countless times before.
He's killed countless people, and countless people want to kill him.
[On the other side, the pilot of the spaceship had just opened the hatch and put one foot on the ground when he was startled by the sudden appearance of Alice. Before he could react, Alice yanked him off the spaceship.]
Rudius and his companions also found a spaceship. All the spaceships here were the same model, unlike the ones they had arrived in.
Instead, it is spherical, and its volume is much smaller.
"I already told you, you can't get in."
[After Rocket Raccoon tossed his creature into a spaceship, he spoke to the towering tree-like Groot behind him.]
"Wait here for me to come back."
[After Rocket Raccoon jumped into the spaceship, he spoke to Groot, who could only stay where he was.]
[Soon, three small, circular spaceships flew out with a roar.]
By the time Nebula heard the commotion, it was too late; Rudeus and his two companions had already escaped in their spaceship.
"It's Alice. She escaped with the Cosmic Orb."
Nebula shouted to Ronan, then to the soldiers behind her.
"What are you looking at? Start the spaceship and give chase!"
Ronan, upon hearing Nebula's words, glanced back at Drax. If he weren't chasing the Sphere, he would have smashed the guy who had spoken rudely to him in the message with a hammer.
Drax was also shocked to see Ronan turn and leave. He felt underestimated by Ronan and believed that Ronan wouldn't stoop to fighting him.
Drax would rather die in battle than accept this reality.
"No! Come back here!"
Drax chased after Ronan, swinging his blade at him, but Ronan dodged the attack without even turning his head.
"Nebula, go and retrieve the Sphere of the Universe."
[Ronan seemed to have never seen Drax before; even under these circumstances, Ronan was still talking to Nebula.]
Drax launched another attack, but Ronan easily parried it, then knocked Drax down with a single palm strike.
Nebula had already led her soldiers and launched their spaceship to pursue Rudeus and his group.
Drax got up and continued attacking Ronan, but he couldn't even touch him. Instead, Ronan punched Drax, sending him flying backward and embedding him in the wall.
Drax persisted, relentlessly attacking Ronan, but Ronan never even glanced at him.
Ronan easily deflected each of Drax's attacks, then casually sent Drax flying with a single blow.
On the other hand, Rudius and his two companions' spaceship was a small and agile model, specifically designed for operations. It could traverse complex, unknown terrain, passing through places that larger spaceships couldn't.
Unfortunately, the fleet Ronan sent this time consisted mostly of small to medium-sized spaceships. These beehive-shaped spaceships could stay firmly on Rudius's ship and couldn't shake them off at all.
Nebula, piloting her bee-shaped spaceship, scanned the three work pods and located the one where Alice was.
"The gem is in the foremost work pod."
"Shoot it down!"
Nebula directly ordered the shot down, showing no intention of capturing anyone alive, nor any concern that the cosmic sphere might be affected and destroyed.
The shortcomings of the work pod became apparent at this point; lacking a weapon system for retaliation, Alice could only maneuver the pod to constantly evade attacks from behind the spaceship.
Alice piloted her work capsule into a hole, followed closely by the Bee spaceship. However, due to the Bee's elongated tail section, it crashed upon impact while passing through the tunnel.
"Rocket, provide cover for Alice to the Milano."
Rudius spoke to Rocket Raccoon using the dedicated communication equipment inside the work capsule.
"Huh? How do we cover ourselves? There aren't any weapons on this thing."
Rocket Raccoon said, "If I could just launch an attack, I wouldn't feel so frustrated that I could only run away."
"These work pods are all industrial-grade and basically indestructible."
"So what? You're not thinking of going to try and crash into things, are you? That wouldn't withstand Ronan and his crew's Necromancer Cannons!"
"That's not what I meant."
Suddenly, Rocket Raccoon understood Rudius's meaning. Seizing the opportunity, Rocket Raccoon raised the height of its work pod and then charged out from a blind spot, crashing into one of the Bee-type spaceships.
Although it didn't directly crash into another Bee-type spacecraft, it did make close contact with it.
The two Bee-shaped spaceships wobbled and crashed into a nearby building, both exploding in the process.
[Rocket Raccoon wasn't having an easy time either; its work capsule swayed in mid-air for quite some time, and it took Rocket Raccoon a lot of effort to regain its balance.]
At this moment, a Bee-type spaceship spotted Rocket Raccoon and attacked it. Rocket Raccoon dodged while approaching it.
"Just because I said I can't handle it doesn't mean I'm afraid of you!"
Rocket Raccoon, controlling the work pod, replicated a classic tactic from naval warfare: direct force-on-force engagement.
The Rocket Raccoon's operational module demonstrated its industrial-grade robustness, directly ramming through the Bee-type spacecraft.
"Really, using high technology to fight hand-to-hand combat, so simple and unpretentious."
"However, it is also the simplest method."
Senku Ishigami said, looking at the scene on the light screen where Rocket Raccoon directly crashed and blew up the Bee-type spaceship with its work pod.
Compared to Iris, Rudeus and Rocket Raccoon faced far less pressure, as they were almost entirely focused on chasing Iris's operational pod due to Nebula's orders.
Alice showcased her spaceship piloting skills, dodging the dense barrage of bullets behind her while also keeping an eye on the various buildings ahead.
Although the operational pod lacks a dedicated weapon system, that doesn't mean it can't attack.
Rudius piloted the work pod, climbed onto the top of a beehive-like spaceship, and using his work tools—two mechanical claws—to grip the top of the beehive and begin tearing at it.
[Upon hearing the commotion, the pilot inside the Bee-shaped spaceship looked up and discovered that half of the top of his ship had been torn off.]
The driver also fell out through that opening.
"Could I borrow your spaceship for a moment?"
Rudius also entered the Bee-type spaceship through the work pod.
Rudeus barely managed to control the continuously falling Bee-shaped spaceship with his mechanical claws, then used the Necromancer Cannon to help Alice deal with the remaining Bee-shaped spaceships behind her.
[Ronan, on the other side, was too lazy to bother with the idiot in front of him. He grabbed Drax by the neck, and Drax felt the immense force on his neck, a feeling of suffocation rising within him, and at the same time, he felt as if his neck was about to be snapped.]
Drax kept throwing punches at Ronan's face, but Ronan didn't even bother to block them, letting Drax's weak attacks land on him.
Drax stopped attacking Ronan and instead used all his strength to struggle. Suddenly, Drax kicked Ronan in the stomach.
Ronan, in a sudden fit of rage, slammed Drax hard to the ground.
After being slammed to the ground by Ronan, Drax stopped struggling; he felt as if every bone in his body was broken.
Pain and numbness filled Drax's body, but the greatest damage was to his spirit—the enemy who had killed his entire family was right before him, and he was powerless to take revenge because of his weakness.
Drax thought the gap between himself and Ronan was very small. Having grown up strong in prison, he was now facing a harsh reality, a blow from the wider world.
